Farm Tours

We love to share all about our pigs, goats, chickens, horses and barn cat at HCF and their hilarious personalities, as well as the beauty of the farm and the creek! At Hendo Care Farm, all people get a hands-on opportunity to interact and learn more about farm animals and all the amazing farm-based wellness programs we provide. Rate depends on the number of people and how long you want to stay. Children 3 and under are free. You can bring your own snacks and drinks (non-alcoholic) to enjoy at our creek! To schedule a tour, fill out our contact form or email us at hendocarefarm@gmail.com. 75-min TOURS ~ $10 each (2 -10 people)

  • Includes interaction with all animals and additional time at the creek for snacks and drinks. 

  • *FYI- to interact with horses and/or to go to the creek it usually requires a 4–5 minute walk down a dirt road with uneven ground and a 6-7 minute walk back up. If needed, ask us about our wheelchair accessibility.

2-HOUR TOURS ~ $15 each (2-10 people)

  • Includes all the above plus a choice of one of two options. Option #1, your group gets to pet and groom one of our horses inside a their pasture. Option #2, your group gets to walk a couple goats on a leash down to the creek and back. The goats get to join everyone for snacks and drinks. An additional included option is a chance to get your feet wet in our creek!

  • *FYI- to interact with horses and/or to go to the creek it usually requires a 4–5 minute walk down a dirt road with uneven ground and a 6-7 minute walk back up. If needed, ask us about our wheelchair accessibility.


90-min LARGE GROUP TOURS $12 each (11-20 people)

  • Includes interaction with all animals and additional time at the creek for snacks and drinks.

FAQs for Farm Tours

Where is the Hendo Care Farm (HCF) ? 
HCF is located in Hendersonville, specifically in the township of Fruitland. Address will be shared after payment is received. They are very close to Justus Orchards.
 
What about cancelations and bad weather?
Cancellations and no-shows are non-refundable. There will be no make-up classes in the event of a participant’s absence. However, they will offer a make-up tour due to any weather-related cancellations initiated by HCF if the weather does not allow for a safe environment.
 
Are there any Farm Rules at HCF?
Yes, for the safety and security of their farm and our animals, they must enforce the following rules on the farm:

  1. No smoking, vaping, tobacco products, drugs or CBD.

  2. No outside pets allowed. Leaving them in the car is prohibited in high temperatures.

  3. No spectators allowed without registration.

  4. No outside treats for the animals.

  5. No going to other areas of the farm without permission.

  6. Children cannot be left unattended.

  7. No personal belongings inside the pastures (phones and water bottles are an exception)

  8. No littering.

    Is Hendo Care Farm Wheel Chair Accessible ? 
    We are handicap accessible; however, all activities are outdoors and the farm’s terrain is grass and gravel, so please consider your mobility needs prior to visiting.  Let us know in advance so we can discuss if we are a good fit for your accessibility needs prior to your arrival. The creek is accessible if you are willing to drive your car on a bumpy dirt road. Four-wheel drive is recommended for visits to the creek.​

    *HELPFUL INFO*

    • There is one handicap porta potty and running water to wash your hands.

    • HCF highly recommend wearing closed-toe shoes when visiting the farm in case one of our animals accidentally steps on your toes.

    • The tour is outdoors and held rain or shine. Be prepared for any type of weather – layering clothing, umbrellas, rain gear, hat, sunscreen, water bottle, backpack, etc.

    • Plan to arrive at least 5-10 minutes prior to your scheduled tour time. You will gather in front of the barn until everyone arrives. Please arrive on time so you don’t lose precious tour time. 

    • Everyone must sign a liability waiver and be present to hear all the safety tips before entering into any pastures. 

    • HCF farm strives to be all-inclusive and welcomes all guests.  We celebrate diversity and strive to make a safe space that is more inclusive and less oppressive to all of people’s many identities including race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, religious beliefs, family structure, ability, and more.
