FAQs for Farm Camp
What area of Hendersonville is Hendo Care Farm (HCF) located in?
HCF is located specifically in the township of Fruitland. Address will be shared after payment is received. If you search for Justus Orchards on Google Map, we are very close by (within a half of a mile).
What if I need to cancel or it’s bad weather?
This farm camp will be held in rain or shine. We will make indoor accommodations in our barns when there is rain. Cancellations and no-shows are non-refundable. There will be no make-up classes in the event of a participant’s absence. However, we can reschedule, cancel, and/or refund due to any unsafe weather-related issues. HCF will try their best to contact you in advance if they need to cancel due to unsafe weather.
What should my child wear and bring?
We recommend wearing/bringing appropriate layers incase the weather changes. It is also important to wear close-toed shoes due to uneven ground and to prevent injury if an animal accidentally steps on toes. We also recommend your child brings a backpack with everything they need in it so they can carry it around while in different areas of the farm. Inside the backpack we recommend putting in a water bottle, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, rain jacket, snacks and lunch. We will have a cooler to put lunches in if they need to stay cool and fresh water to refill water bottles. On Creek Day, please bring a towel and water shoes. We will let the kids put their feet in the creek.
Are there any “Farm Rules” that we should know in advance?
Yes, for the safety and security of our farm and our animals, we must enforce the following rules on the farm:
